| Purpose: | An open house to discuss the present criteria
and process used to evaluate the highway projects, the findings for
the non-highway modes, and to solicit comments and input to aid in
the further development of the Texas Rural Transportation Plan 2035. |

| Description: |
In November 2010, the Texas Transportation Commission adopted
the
Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan 2035 (SLRTP) which
serves as the state's 24-year, multi-modal "blueprint" for the
transportation planning process. TxDOT recently began work on
the rural component of the SLRTP, now referred to as the Texas
Rural Transportation Plan (TRTP). The Texas Rural Transportation Plan 2035 will be a detailed multimodal assessment of rural connectivity needs and include a statewide prioritized list of highway projects for the years 2021-2035. |
