A proposed 6.347-mile long, limited access highway widening of an existing four lane divided facility to six lane divided facility. This project limits are from Yandell Drive to Hondo Pass Drive.

Current Conditions

Frequent and severe congestion on US-54 due to the exponential growth of Northeast El Paso.

Proposed Improvements

Widening of an existing four lane divided facility to six lane divided facility.
Improvement of Traffic Management System (TMS) throughout the corridor.
The cost of the project is estimated to be $32.5 million.

The project has 80 percent participation from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
