This project is a partnership with the City of Dallas to expand Medical District Drive from an existing two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane divided concrete roadway. The length of the project is just under a mile and runs from Harry Hines Boulevard to Maple Avenue.

Construction Schedule

TxDOT contracted with Tiseo paving to complete the $3 million project. Construction began July 19, 2010, and is estimated to be completed in August of 2011.

Road Closure

The first phase of the project includes the installation of box culverts. This requires closing the road to through traffic for an estimated four weeks from 9 a.m. on July 19, 2010, until 3 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2010.
